Massage at Boardwalk Hotel Aruba

Massage

The perfect way to start... and end a relaxing and re-charging Aruban vacation!

Florian (aka Flo) is our onsite massage therapist, offering all types of massages.

According to Flo: "Boardwalk is one of my favorite places to give a massage on Aruba. Just walking into the property already makes you relax. The place feels zen and that is a fantastic feeling to start a massage".

It is up to you to receive the massage in the comfort of your own "casita" or to embrace the beauty of the garden during your massage. Can it get any better than to have a massage by hearing the songs of exotic tropical birds, lie down on a massagebed while warm trade winds gently waft over you!

Couples massages are also possible. Then Flo enlists the help of another licensed massage therapist.

About Florian

After three and half year in Vietnam, co-owning SIK (center of Kitesurf and Windsurf in Mui ne) and DIVA (Spa, Fitness center in Ho chi Minh city) Flo chose to follow his mission to travel around the world.

A combination of travelling and extreme sports caused him to explore different ways of self-treating injuries. His experiences with Tuina, Thai and Swedish therapeutic methods allow him to offer you a taylor made massage that suits your personal needs.

Tui Na - Chinese Medical Massage

Thai massage or Nuat Phaen Boran is a massage that involves stretching and deepmassage. The massage recipient changes into pajamas and lies on a mat or firm mattress on the floor. The massage giver leans on the recipient's body using hands and forearms to apply firm rhythmic pressure to almost every part of the receiver's body. The massage generally follows the Sen Energy lines on the body (the Sen are comparable to Chinese meridians)

Swedish Massage

The main propose of the Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood andrelease toxins from the muscles.
Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular stain by flushing the tissus of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. itstretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable.
Swedish massage alsostimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time.
It reduces stress, both emotional andphysical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. It also has many specific medical uses.

Reflexology

Foot massage is a method of stimulating reflex areas of the feet that relax and rejuvenate each and every part of the body including the glands and organs. By relaxing the body, tension is relieved and the circulation of blood and lymph is restored to its natural flow and all of the body's processes function more efficiently. Simultaneously, awareness of one's body is heightened. These effects have been observed to facilitate the natural healing processes of the body and enhance a person's general health.

Reflexology is a safe, yet powerful technique for balancing the physiological systems of the body. Pressure is applied to reflex areas of the feet, hands and ears to aid the healing process.
