How to get to the hotel

Airport Transportation 

We recommend a taxi as the most convenient method of transportation to Boardwalk Hotel Aruba. The rate is USD 25, and there is surcharge of USD 3 for trips after midnight, on Sundays and Holidays. The one-way trip from the airport is approximately 15 minutes. 

Car Rental

If you would like to rent a car during your stay, feel free to contact us to help you.

Front Desk Opening Hours

Our front desk opening hours are from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am. - 5:00 pm EST Time. On Sunday's the front desk is closed.

Check-in & Check-Out Time

Check in time is 3 pm (if rooms are available, we will be happy to register you earlier.)

Check-out time is 11 am. For later check-outs, arrangements are possible, however, they are subject to space availability and a surcharge. Please check with the frontdesk in advance. If a later check-out can not be arranged, you may have your luggage stored in our office until you are ready to leave. Please remember to make arrangements with us beforehand.

Concierge Service

We are more than happy to assist you with information and reservations for activities, car rentals, restaurants etc.

Please feel free to email or call us with your questions and requests before your trip or visit us at the front desk while you are on Aruba.

No Smoking Policy

It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the casitas. Failure to respect this policy will result in a USD 250 penalty, which will be charged on your credit card.

FREE WIFI internet access

Free WIFI is offered to our guests at Boardwalk Hotel. WIFI is available on most parts of the property. We also offer a guest computer in our lobby for our guests to use.

Upon arrival you will receive the password of our free wireless internet access. 

Walk to the beach from Boardwalk Small Hotel

Often times guests ask us how far of a walk the beach is from Boardwalk Small Hotel Aruba. Google maps estimated the walk to reach Palm Beach from Boardwalk Small Hotel to be 3min. To walk to Moomba, over the beach, it would take an additional 5 to 10min.

Location

Boardwalk Small Hotel is uniquely located within walking distance 150 meters (3 minutes walking) from Palm beach, right across from the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The hotel is based on the grounds of a former coconut plantation, bordering a bird sanctuary.

Boardwalk Small Hotel is located at the end of the high rise strip with it's hotels, casinos and water sports facilities, yet lies tucked away from it all! Within walking distance you can find some of the island's best snorkeling spots.

The hotel has a long history for being the best kite and windsurf hotel of Aruba as it is conveniently located steps from the best kite and windsurf beach of Aruba; The Fisherman's huts.

Hotel Layout

Boardwalk's casitas are spread out across tropical gardens with over one hundred palm trees, offering a lot of privacy and intimacy to our guests. Every casita has a private patio or terrace, giving out to tropical garden.

The swimming pool, set amidst this small oasis, together with the cozy gazebo make Boardwalk Small Hotel a true retreat.

Casita  2, 5, 6, 7, 10 & 22 are One Bedroom Casitas with Two Queen Beds.

Casita 1, 4, 11 & 23 are One Bedroom Casitas with a King size Bed.

Casita 3, 8 & 21 are our largest casitas, each with two bedrooms.

Public Transportation

There is a bus stop located right across the street from Boardwalk Hotel Aruba. Arubus, the local bus service, operates daily along the hotel strip. Buses arrive at the bus station every 15 minutes, starting at 5:45am until 6pm.

The central bus station is located in downtown Oranjestad, across the road from the cruise terminal next to Royal Plaza.

The fare for a one-way trip is US $2.30.

Travel & Cancellation Insurance

We highly recommend all guests protect themselves for losses due to last-minute cancellations or no-shows. Because we are a small, independently owned business, we are not flexible when it comes to collecting fees for last-minute cancellations and no-shows.

Free Parking at Boardwalk

Boardwalk offers complimentary car parking on property. Car parking is subject to availability and strictly at your own risk. Boardwalk Small Hotel does not accept any responsibility for lost, stolen and/or damaged items what-so-ever.

Late Check-out


Late Departures are possible, but are subject to availability.

Past 11 am: Extend to 1 pm departure as a courtesy based on availability.

Past 1 pm: 60USD for late checkouts until 4PM. Note, late departures are subject to availability.

Past 4 pm: at a cost of a full night stay, with departure the following morning at 11 am

How many guests can stay in a Casita?

A one-bedroom casita sleeps a maximum of 4 guests.

A two-bedroom casita sleeps a maximum of 6 guests.

Rates are based on double occupancy for the One Bedroom Casita nd the Studio Casita.
Rates are based on quad occupancy for a Two-Bedroom Casita.


The extra person charge is $20 per night per person.
Children under the age of twelve stay for free with adults.

Laundry Service

Laundry service is offered at $25USD per laundry bag. Laundry takes 48 hours. 

Are pets allowed?

Yes, Boardwalk is a pet-friendly hotel.

Pet policy:

1. One pet allowed per room, and hotel needs to be informed at time of reservation.
2. Pet Owner agrees to be responsible for any damage or injury caused by the pet, and to absolve the Hotel staff of any liability if the pet or another guest is injured and to limit to one pet per room.
3. We require that the pet never be left unattended in the hotel.
4. Barking may disturb other guests. Should guests hear and complain about barking we may have to relocate the Pet Owner to another resort.
5. Pets must be leashed or held when out of the guestroom.
6. We provide two pet dishes (for water and food) and a sleeping mat; please do not allow pets on the beds or furniture.
7. Pets may be walked on resort grounds, however, owners are required to clean up after your pet.
8. The resort will charge an additional fee of $20 per day for the pet.
