Snorkeling in Aruba
Boardwalk offers every guest a snorkeling mask and snorkel free of charge to use during their stay. Amazing snorkeling experiences in Aruba are guaranteed!
Within walking distance of Boardwalk Small Hotel are several beautiful snorkeling spots. Malmok Beach & Boca Catalina offer two beautiful reefs filled with colorful fish. Accessible to anyone of any age, Arashi Beach is a great place to visit if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing day where you can still see a lot of gorgeous fish. Arashi Beach is reachable by car or bus. The bus goes north every half hour, and the bus stop is just outside our hotel, behind the Marriott.
If you have a car, Mangel Halto and Baby Beach are gorgeous spots to discover. Mangel Halto is a beach that is quite different from other beaches in Aruba as it features a dense forest of mangroves. On the way to Baby Beach, do not forget to stop by Zeerovers restaurant. This is an authentic local restaurant where you can enjoy fresh fish, in fact, the freshest on the island!
At our front desk, we will gladly provide you with the directions to get to different snorkeling destinations on the island!
Scuba Diving in Aruba
One of the most unforgettable experiences Aruba has to offer is scuba diving. Divers can see a fabulous array of corals and fish, some even spotting seahorses, lobsters, sea turtles, and stingrays.
Whether you want to try diving just once, become a qualified diver, or log some more hours as a certified diver, Aruba has you covered! Moreover, Aruba is known for its many wrecks, and the largest historical wreck of the whole Caribbean can be found here! As the wreck has been underwater for quite some time now, you can enjoy a large variety of corals and marine life.
There are quite a number of dive operators on the island. One of them is Happy Divers, offering the following dive courses:
- Discover Scuba Diving (DSD): a first-try dive for anyone who wants an introduction to scuba diving or isn't certified yet
- Open Water Diver
- Advanced Open Water Diver
- Rescue Diver + Emergency First Response
- Dive specialties on request
Happy Divers Aruba offers dive courses from both PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) and SSI (Scuba Schools International). English and Dutch are spoken.
Scuba divers love Boardwalk Small Hotel! The hotel is located close to several diving centers and some of the island's beautiful diving spots. Moreover, your patio and apartment provide you with plenty of space to store your diving equipment.
